Training

We want to make sure that you have the greatest impact on the organization in a way that your passions are unleashed most. We have created this space for your to always refer if you have any questions about the organization, your position, and how they mesh with one another. This is also a bank of knowledge to which you can continually check up on to when you have questions about anything Passion Impact. Once you get through this, you will be ready to master your position! Good luck!

Vision Chart

Someone may have come before you which helps in building your program. That’s not always the case which means you may be building your program from scratch. Despite the case, we want you to start envisioning how your work will affect your project in 5 years. Yeah, that’s right! 5 years from now. How will your influence make this program magnificent.

So here’s what you need to do.

  1. Close your eyes and imagine your work coming to fruition. What does it look like? How do you feel?
  2. Write down a short paragraph of 100 words or less that helps you focus your vision
  3. Go to Canva.com and sign up
  4. Design the vision on a “US Letter” format
  5. Download and send an email to connect@passionimpact.org
  6. Use the PI: Style Guide to help design your vision using the right colors.

We are looking for a professional email in addition to the explanation of your vision.

Don’t understand what you’re doing? Practice Canva tutorials and do your research before consulting PI staff.

Passion Radar

The purpose of the Passion Radar is to pinpoint what exactly will help you build a healthy habit of volunteering your passions. This is a tool that you will use for your reflection and will be able to refer back to after volunteering.

  1. Make sure to have Gmail Account and have Google Drive – this is where you will store your Passion Radar for future reflections.
  2. The following will be under different sheets on the spreadsheet at the bottom.
    1. (Traits) Choose at most 10 the traits that will complete the sentence “___________ will help me build a healthy habit of volunteering my passions”.
    2. (Numbers) Identify how important each of those traits are to you on a scale from 1 – 10. 1 = Least Important while 10 = Most Important.
    3. (Numbers) Pick a volunteer experience, name it, and based on what you can remember, input numbers how important each trait is to you.
    4. (Use this visual for your reflections) Check out your Passion Radar and see the differences between your ideal and actual volunteer experiences.
  3. Use your Passion Radar to help complete a reflection based on each of your 10 traits.

Now it’s time to create a reflection about your entire training process. Please create your own reflection based on the reflection suggestions we have given you or one that may not be on there.

  1. Decide how you would like to reflect
  2. If it requires coordination with PI Officers (i.e. discussion, presentation, etc.) please email us to let us know: connect@passionimpact.org
  3. If you do not need PI Officer assistance, complete your reflection.
  4. Professionally email us the copy of your reflection(i.e. letter, dance performance video, picture of your art, etc.) along with 3 times that you are able to meet to discuss next steps in your internship.
